My expertise is finding ways to creatively coach special needs individuals, (both adults and children) as well as family members. I offer you a wide variety of knowledge and expertise from my own personal experiences.
I am the parent and advocate for our ADD/LD adult son. I have gained insights and extensive knowledge of the public school system, demands of the college environment and the skills needed so you can receive all the appropriate services your child deserves. Holding an Elementary Teaching Certificate and Master’s Degree in Special Education, I understand the development of 504/IEP plans and how to effectively implement them.
I'm a 1998 graduate of the Optimal Functioning Institute, specializing in coaching ADD/LD clients. Since then, I've maintained a part-time coaching practice.
For 25 years, I've served on the CHADD Board of Directors. I've facilitated the Adult Metro CHADD Group, providing support and resources for individuals attending our monthly meetings. I've been involved with the Oregon Association for Learning Disabilities as well as having participated in a women's ADD/HD support group. Through my network, I can help you to access local and national resources and/or other referrals for additional technical support.
After an initial interview together we will explore services tailored to your needs.
